Eigen Makelij takes charge of the entire programme for this edition of Rapsalon

Eigen Makelij has been a fertile breeding ground for Flemish rap talent since 2008. Many established names in the scene hail from the Antwerp-based collective. Almost twenty years later, they still continue to push rap culture with concert evenings such as Cement, Mosterd and now Rapsalon.

You can really hear that sound of Antwerp’s RonnyHuana was created in a dark attic. Intense beats, dark lyrics and a unique vocal style soon elevated him to Flemish rap legend status. You may already have heard his many mixtapes or collaborations with Berry, ZG, KEER&BOO, ...

LOW G

“Den bestn” MC from Kortrijk and surrounding areas. Known for his hard-hitting beats, hard-hitting flows and his hard-hitting West Flemish-ness. Recently released another epic album and has worked with just about every big name in the game.

SAFI

You simply can’t imagine national rap history without this O.G. from Mechelen. As a young G, he kicked down many a door to reach a wider audience and he remains renowned as one of the most skilled, versatile and prolific local artists.

MATY

Sometimes with BRUX collective and sometimes solo: MATY is part of a new generation of young Brussels-based artists to be catching attention recently. We’re expecting an abundance of energy on stage from this young force to be reckoned with.

DON TIBEAU

Ghent’s DON TIBEAU clearly has much to say. He has issued multiple albums upon the world in recent years, ones that were (in our opinion) criminally overlooked. His pen is sharp, his flow is flexible and his first show is at Rapsalon.

The DIRTYMINDEDGOON$ crew represents a new generation of artists from the not-so-distant Limburg. With their sharp flows and gritty boombap beats, they are sure to elicit many a stank face from the crowd.
