Cult of Luna, the Swedish post-metal band from Umeå, have been known for 25 years for their leaden, experimental sound that combines hardcore, sludge, folk and art rock. On their tenth album, In the Shadow of Your Shadow, the band once again delves into dark and intense themes such as loss, depression, anger and mortality, without lapsing into musical repetition.

Guest contributions by the likes of Gojira-frontman Joe Duplantier and folk icon David Eugene Edwards lend the album extra character. Tracks like Burial and Sadness Will Reign once again demonstrate why Cult of Luna ranks among the best post-metal bands.
