Brussels-bound with a new album full of soulful Brum hip-hop
The Mayor of Brum returns! After conquering AB Club and then the main stage of Couleur Café last year, Birmingham hip-hop artist Kofi Stone is coming back to BX this spring.
Inspired by his grandfather’s poetry, Kofi Stone began freestyling and writing his own lyrics at a young age. A musical diet of Lupe Fiasco, Common, Kano and Sway further fueled his fascination with hip-hop. Stone is known as a captivating storyteller with an introspective, deep and honest hip-hop style. You can hear that clearly on his latest album All the Flowers Have Bloomed.
With this third album, he lets his roots grow deeper than ever and delivers a warm, thoughtful masterpiece that dares to show emotion and leaves room for growth. The project feels like a mature closing chapter of a trilogy: realistic reflections blended with hope, and an artist coming of age without losing his vulnerability.
Anyone who has seen him live knows he delivers. Anyone who hasn’t: do yourself a favor and buy that ticket!
