Exciting Hi-NRG electropop duo presents new album
If anything could be called Borokov Borokov's formula, it probably would be derived from the following quote: “First and foremost we make music that we ourselves want to dance to. Evenwhen the music in question does not immediately sound like dance music." The result may resemble for example angular synth pop, ... work incapacitated hi-NRG,krauttrock with a double 't', supra-freudian elektrapunk, birthday-themed acid house, no-nowave, polyphonic panic attacks or multilingual lamentation. As if with each track, the bandseizes a new opportunity to waltz out of the confines of its own straitjacket, albeit with noguarantee of success.
By the way, they found their first drum machine on a rubbish dump in Borsbeek.

Marie Klock is a French singer, multi-instrumentalist and experimental songwriter from Paris, known for her idiosyncratic mix of neo-chanson, synthpop and absurdist lyrics. In 2024, she released the album Damien est vivant on the German label Pingipung, a poetic and humorous tribute to the late poet Damien Schultz, and is collaborating with Turkish composer Anadol on La Grande Accumulation. With a style that defies genres and is often unpredictable live, she plays and sings about themes such as loneliness, insects and misunderstandings.
