Paerish is an alternative rock band from Paris. The band members met in film school, which influenced their musical identity. They adopted the name Paerish, based on the character Alan Parrish (Robin Williams) from the American fantasy film Jumanji. After 3 album and touring exctensively in Europe and North America the band will be releasing a brand new album called 'RITA'. According to singer/guitarist Mathias “RITA is an album deeply shaped by childhood memories, the passing of time, and the need to preserve a sense of creative sincerity through the years. Its title refers to a bell tower I could see from the window of my family’s apartment in the South of France when I was achild. Saint Rita, patron saint of lost causes, embodied something both protective andluminous to me, but also the sacrifices and uncertainty that come with having a band andtrying to make a living from it." The album explores the constant tension between nostalgia and the urgency to move forward. If you are into captivating straightforward singalong rocksongs, this is the band to check out!
