AB X MISSFITTE present “Dykonic”
Mi amor,
Can you feel the vibrations? Boots stomping. Voices booming. Gears shifting. Bells ringing. Paint spraying. Bass thumping. There is noise in the streets. The countdown to a Dykonic counter~pride gathering has begun. On the 16th evening of the 5th month, we march and dance to the beat of our own hearts.
Rumor has it that we will take over the concert hall where we used to lose ourselves in each other's goosebumps. You beamed with lavender light, screaming: “Let’s talk about history and gender, baby! Let’s talk about you and me!” And I took every opportunity to confess to all mothers & daughters, sapphics, fags & fluid sprouts waiting at the bar: “You know? Her heart is my home now”.
In your kiss I could taste the rave~olution. What an outrageous feeling to blossom freely and untamed for just a few hours.
Before we enter this sacred space again, I want you to first march into the sunset with me. Not together as in happy, but queer as in "we were always here". Feel the acid bloom. Feel the juice. Feel the electricity of our shared footfall - and notice how your chest is exploding with anticipation. Do you hear the echoes of engines revving and wheels skidding? Remember what you used to say: “A day without a dyke* and their bike is a day without sunshine!”
And lastly, mi amor, can you yet smell the scent of sun-bleached leather softening and curling as it turns into flowers?
Rebelliously yours, always,
N.
MISSFITTE is a fluid raveground: a queer-forward, care-oriented concept hosting parties and events in Brussels since 2018. Over the years the project has grown their highly loyal & distinct crowd, and has become a very valued shelter for quality music {heart}beats and freedom-craving rave creatures in Belgium’s queer electronic scene. Entering their universe is having techno love seeds dropped into one's burning soul while house drums release the body. Their mantra? Dancing is caring.
Some of the international guest artists previously booked by MISSFITTE: Slim Soledad, FAFF & Marie Malarie.
JeanneTo
JeanneTo lives in the fast lane: aerodynamic style, high energy, and songs that flirt with pop, techno, and Eurodance. Her tracks - produced by Cadillacprod (Ben PLG, Asma, Te Huur) - are a bold mix of club aggression and intimate vulnerability, exploring love, desire, and connection. Think Ascendant Vierge meets COBRAH. It’s emotional, it's sweaty, and it’s made to move.
Planningtorock
Planningtorock (aka Jam Rostron) is a trans non-binary, self-taught artist queering sound since 2006. With four acclaimed albums, they’ve collaborated with Lady Gaga, Robyn, The Knife, and Arca. From remixing icons to composing for Chanel and Comme Des Garçons, their world fuses dance, fashion, and radical joy. Expect bold sounds and boundary-breaking performance.
SHYBOI
SHYBOI is a Jamaican-born, NYC-based DJ and artist disrupting dancefloors with politically charged, genre-defying sets. A pillar of the city’s underground, her explosive mixes echo themes of identity and resistance. She’s played MoMA PS1, Guggenheim, Boiler Room, and festivals from Unsound to Nyege Nyege. Expect global energy with fierce intent.
Goth Jafar
Goth Jafar is the spellbinding alter ego of Suffy Baala - a DJ born online, raised by NYC raves. From trance to K-pop, her sets radiate trans joy and digital sorcery. Since 2020, she’s toured Europe, played Boiler Room, and appeared at Primavera and Trance Party. Every show is an act of gender euphoria and a love letter to the girls on their journey.
Maara
Maara, the Montréal-native, Berlin-based DJ and producer has carved out a distinctive niche in the dance music world with her innovative sound and energetic presence: since her smash 2021 arrival on the scene with the ‘Ultimate Reward’ EP, Maara has evolved at pace, with a hectic touring schedule taking her far and wide and a string of heavy hitting releases on noted labels such as X-Kalay, Kalahari Oyster Cult, and Spray’s formidable imprint Punctuality, which just released her suitably titled label debut, ‘Drama On’.
There’s a swagger and undeniable sense of fun to everything Maara does; it’s unusual to see an artist so at ease switching between references and energies – from poppy and playful to hard and relentless – and making them all so undeniably her own.
Acid Lily (MISSFITTE resident)
Acid Lily is a Brussels-based artist who is rarely tied to one genre, exploring music in all its diversity with one crystal clear goal: uniting people on the dancefloor. Effortlessly fluctuating between disco and house to hard techno and hyperpop with some jazz in between, this cross-genre producer continues to her bring her signature big bass energy. When she’s not behind the decks, you’ll find her producing and tweaking her own tracks, or sometimes building sound systems. Expect (B)Ass Music. Stretch before coming.
Melissa Juice (MISSFITTE resident)
Melissa Juice is a Canada-born, Brussels-based queer DJ blending progressive, acidic, and trancey sounds with hypnotic vocals and long, fluid mixes. Co-organiser of MISSFITTE and LUBE, she builds care-focused, inclusive dancefloors. With sets at C12, Fuse, Dour, Horst and more, Mel also champions harm reduction and radical joy through rave.
