FOLKIN’ BE THERE
This event takes place as a part of Belgian Music Week, alongside Belgian World Music Night on February 2 and the concerts by bodies, Colt, Ronker, OHNA and Johannes Is Zijn Naam.
Tuesday 3 February heralds the sixth edition of the Flanders Folk Awards. On this night, we honour the Belgian folk scene in all its diversity, creativity and innovation. Expect a dazzling mix of live concerts and award ceremonies, presented by Sien Wynants and Michaël Robberechts.
Three very different bands will grace the stage with a powerful live set, demonstrating how wide-ranging and vibrant folk sounds these days. In addition, the nominees and winners will be announced in the categories Best Live Band, Horizon, Best Album and lastly the Lifetime Achievement Award. The live bands and nominees will be revealed in the coming weeks.
