Exciting double bill with top acts from the Belgian improv scene
ConcertJean DL & Otto Lindholm
We know Jean DL from his huge output as solo artist and the many collaborations – with Mauro, Karen Willems, Julia Kent, Jozef van Wissem, Teun Verbruggen,… amongst others. He creates very intense droney, soundscapes with his guitar, a battery of effect pedals and field-recordings. In AB Salon, he comes to present his new project with Otto Lindholm – the alter-ego of Brussels resident and contrabassist Cyrille de Haes. His music situates itself at the border between ambient, contemporary classic and drones.
Opener for this double-bill evening will be Karen Willems. We know her from her own project Inwolves, and the collaborations with Yuko, Eric Thielemans, Jean DL, Benjamin Glorieux, Aidan Baker, Kreng, Zita Swoon, Kaboom Karavan and Mauro. It’s difficult to pigeon-hole such a versatile artist but a constant element is her permanently present focus and broad musical influences. Here she will present her latest project ‘Terre Sol’.
