The Arsenal concerts on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 March have both been completely sold out for a while now. But if you didn't manage to get hold of a ticket then there's no need for panic. Just like the Bloc Party and Seasick Steve shows earlier this year, you can now feel the live vibe at home, thanks to ABtv.
By the way, this time ABtv itself will be 'on location'. Namely, the concert on Thursday 26 March will be exclusively available, in its entirety, via the renewed De Standaard website at 20.30pm. A few days after the concert a number of songs will be entered into the ABtv archive.
It was a conscious decision on the part of the AB to establish these sorts of projects every now and then for unique (sold-out) concerts. In this way, ABtv increasingly becomes more of a virtual extension of the concert hall. Last year the sold-out Girls in Hawaii concert was broadcast exclusively via stubru.be and the websites of two French speaking radio-station. Further constructions of a similar nature are to be developed in the future.
