To strengthen the reception and ticketing team, we are looking for a full-time member of staff to keep the reception desk open.
Ancienne Belgique is a vibrant concert hall in the heart of Brussels, keen to embrace both young talent and established artists. It is both niche and mainstream, adventurous and genre-transcending. Through some 400 concerts and projects a year, we aim to provide an unforgettable experience for our more than 330,000 visitors. All this is managed by a motivated team of 65 permanent staff.
Assignment
- You will be the face of AB. You will always make a good first impression and help everyone who comes through the door with a smile.
- You will be the central point of contact at AB for visitors and colleagues.
- You will open and close reception on weekdays (10.00 – 18.00, Mon-Fri).
- You will sell tickets and help customers quickly and professionally.
- You will handle telephone reception and manage the info mailbox.
- You will provide administrative support for the various departments (communications, production and business).
- You will be responsible for day-to-day till management.
- You will work during the day, but are willing to occasionally work evenings and weekends during concerts.
Profile
- You are able to express yourself fluently in Dutch, French and English, both written and spoken. You are punctual, responsible and always ready to help.
- You are customer- and solution-minded, and show patience and understanding. You are eager to learn and you work meticulously.
- You have a sense of initiative and can work well both independently and as part of a team.
- You are assertive and cope well under pressure.
- You are an administrative all-rounder.
- You can work well with all common Office applications. Knowledge of ticketing and/or planning systems is an asset.
- Enthusiasm, customer friendliness and motivation are more important than diplomas.
- Knowledge of the cultural sector is an asset.
- Living in Brussels is an asset.
