On Friday 19 May, the eve of Brussels Pride, AB is organising ‘OUTRAGEOUS’, 'A Celebration of Pride', a massive party that highlights queer FINTA artists (Female, Intersex, Non-binary, Transgender, Agender).
We’ve put together a passionate team to curate a dazzling line-up. This second edition of OUTRAGEOUS is a colab between Psst Mlle, Simomo Bouj and AB.
Psst Mlle is an intersectional feminist platform fighting for more inclusion and visibility of FINTA artists. They aim to rethink the dance floor as a concept, switching it up physically and mentally.
Queer in Brussels
We went looking for queer spaces and organisations in Brussels that should absolutely be on your radar. To do that we went for coffee with Psst Mlle. This is their selection!
FATSABBATS is a self-regulating organisation that fights racism. The association was founded by and for the LGBTQIA people with different ethnic backgrounds and their partners.
Merhaba aims to empower and support LGBT+ people with a migration background so that they can overcome distress. The association also actively tries to inspire and change our society so that LGBT+ people with a migration background can feel at home.
Le Refuge Bruxelles is a Brussels-based shelter providing emergency accommodation and support for LGBTQIA+ people between 18 and 25 who have experienced exclusion on the basis of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
The Agenda is a Brussels bar for LGBTQIA+ and non-binary people and their respective partners.
MISSFITTE is a party space for women. A queer-forward concept that features underground club nights, talks and workshops focused on women and non-binary people.
The Crazy Circle used to be a rhum bar. In 2019 a female couple took over the venue and turned it into a lesbian bar open to the entire LGBTQI+ community and their partners.
Naast Monique is a space that aims to create and host activities by and for people who identify as trans, bisexual, gay, lesbian or queer but also for women and sex workers. The organisation wants to be a meeting place run by and for the community.
Cabaret Mademoiselle was founded in 2017 and has been considered as an institution within the Brusselian nightlife ever since. You can expect extravagant soirees with a bold mix of drag shows, burlesque strip acts, circus, comedy and music.
