Powerful, British-American noise-rock/post-punk combo
Pure Adult from Brooklyn make raw, dissonant punk & noise and are known for their wild live shows. Reason enough to hit the road with the overpowering British noisy mathpunkers of Cassels for a joint tour.
Jeremy Snyder is the man behind the sound of IDLES, Fontaines D.C. A Place To Bury Strangers, Mdou Moctar and many more. He brings his experience as a sound engineer together in his own project Pure Adult, together with dancer and visual artist Bianca Cooper. She is the voice and creative heart of the band. Her background in performance art and theatre adds a deeply expressive emotional layer to the raw avant-garde songs where cynicism and realism take centre stage. That's all you need to know to look forward to this concert, right?
London duo Cassels is formed by brothers Jim and Loz Beck. By their own admission, their music is ideally suited to misanthropes and other malcontents. Not so positive, I hear you thinking. But not all their songs sound minor; in fact, they are often very upbeat, sometimes mixing the two in one song.Their sound veers between post-punk and noise with math-rock elements. Jim's 'airy' sharp and sometimes sarcastic lyrics and Loz's complex, rhythmic drum patterns stand out here. Like Pure Adult, Cassels is mostly made to be experienced live.
