Two-day Beginner Workshop Music Production on 8th and 9th November
Her Frequencies is a 2-day hands-on introduction to music production and DJ’ing, designed for women and FINTA artists who want to dive into the world of music creation. Together, we’ll explore how to create loops, build your first track, and discover the basics of arrangement and structure. You’ll also get a first taste of DJ’ing in a friendly, supportive environment. This workshop is open to all levels of curiosity — no previous experience needed, just your passion for sound!
🎧 What to Bring
● Laptop with your production software (preferably Ableton Live, but other DAWs are welcome)
● Headphones
● If you don’t have software yet, you can download the free Ableton Live trial. We have a microwave and fridge available if you’d like to bring your lunch. Free drinks (tea, coffee, water) will be available throughout the day.
Teachers
EMJIE – A fast-rising groove dealer known for her blissful approach to today’s electronic soundscape. EMJIE curates her own party series at Ampere and holds a residency at Rockerill. Her sound resonates across the globe with performances at Fabric, Sisyphos, Fuse, Pukkelpop, Tomorrowland, and more.
Camila Rodhes – A multidisciplinary artist from Paris, now based in Brussels. She’s the founder of Inf3cted Records. Camila Started her DJing journey in Guatemala in 2014, her sound evolved towards what could be defined as trippy Techno.
Bulie Jordeaux (Julie Bordeaux) is a brussels-based electronic and ‘deviant pop’ producer. Her music plays around with dubby, post-punkish and eclectic sounds. Performing live with her solo project for a few years now, she composes essentially using Ableton, a couple of synths and a mic. Although vocals are a central part of her music, she holds a special attention to rythmics, rich and versatile, as well as thick basslines to anchor her pieces, transforming them into hypnotic landscapes.
