Dutch pop queen returns to the AB with her latest album
“Iedereen Gaat Vreemd” – and Dutch singer-songwriter Froukje is following suit, crossing the border once again to head to Belgium. Her new album “Kijk Je Naar Mij?” is due for release on 2 October, and she is looking forward to presenting it in concert.
Froukje is one of the most distinctive and influential voices of her generation. Since 2020, her music has been streamed over 240 million times. With sold-out venues, packed festivals and a solid reputation on stage, she has firmly established herself in Dutch and Belgian pop music. Whilst her debut album was introspective, its follow-up, ‘Kijk Je Naar Mij?’, looks outwards: towards the world, towards love in all its forms, and towards the wonderful relationship she has with her own life as an artist. She wrote the album entirely herself and also produced most of it on her own. Singles such as “Iedereen Gaat Vreemd” and “Jaar Na Jaar” already give a taste of this: fresh, confident and with the ease of someone who knows exactly what they’re doing.
Supporting act: Jaïr Faria, a 22-year-old singer-songwriter from Amsterdam who combines pop, neo-soul and rock influences to create a unique, contemporary sound. With over ten years’ experience on stage and a background in performing arts, he performs moving songs with a powerful voice, accompanied live on piano and guitar. His intense live performances and distinctive style make him a remarkable new voice within a modern and diverse generation of artists.
