Alice Mae – whose real name is Alexia – used to pinch her parent’s CDs to immerse herself in classic alternative rock. Inspired by legendary bands like Oasis, The Rolling Stones and U2, she promised herself she would make authentic, no-nonsense rock music, with a distinctly female edge in a predominantly male scene. At the age of 25, she delivered on that promise.
