We first saw Ezra Collective shine on the compilation ‘We Out Here’ that was released last year. It presented the crème de la crème of the current London jazz scene under the auspices of Shabaka Hutchings. Their mix of spiritual jazz, afrobeat and hip-hop stood right out and can be further appreciated on their debut ‘You Can’t Steal My Joy’, where you can hear glorious collaborations involving the likes of Loyle Carner, KOKOROKO and Jorja Smith.
