On Friday 11 July, we celebrate the Flemish Holiday with the vibrant city festival Vlaanderen Feest, Brussel Danst. A free programme packed with music, dance, theatre, workshops, exhibitions, and comedy.
Brussel Danst Dance Battles – Ancienne Belgique
For the fifth year running, the Brussel Danst Dance Battles take over AB’s Main Hall. From 16:00 to 22:00, the stage will be buzzing with dancers from home and abroad, facing off in three categories: hip hop, house and krump.
This year’s central theme? GROOVE. Groove is more than just movement – it's an attitude, a rhythm, a way to connect, resist and celebrate. It transforms any crowd into a community, and every battle into a shared explosion of energy and expression.
Are you a dancer or a battle enthusiast?
Register here to participate or come cheer from the sidelines. Everyone’s welcome – from seasoned crews to curious first-timers.
This edition is a co-production by Ancienne Belgique, Timiss and Muntpunt, with the support of the National Lottery players.
Singalong in Symphony – Grand-Place
If you prefer singing, join the festive Singalong in Symphony, part of our “Gelukkig Zijn Sessies”. Ronny Mosuse, Stijn Meuris, Loes Van den Heuvel, Sikudhani and a colourful mix of choirs and musicians from around the world will give classic Flemish songs a fresh twist. Flemings, Brussels locals and anyone learning Dutch are invited to sing along at the top of their lungs during this heartwarming open-air concert.
Flanders Celebrates, Brussels Dances in the City
Beyond the dance battles at AB, there’s so much more to explore across the city: roller skate jams on Muntplein, urban markets at Beursschouwburg, and even comedy at the Parliament.
