After all the editions at AB, as of this year, SOBU will take turns between the two Brussels concert venues, AB and Botanique. SOBU takes you into the Belgian underground scene, with exciting live sets and DJ performances by the talents of tomorrow. Head to Botanique on January 31 for the 2025 edition. With curators Bader Shashit (@yalla.worldwide) and Laura Conant (@lau_c_n_n_t, @m0nt4ge), SOBU continues to expand boundaries by creating space for artists and fans to discover new sonic landscapes.

Barder Shashut is a DJ, producer, and filmmaker from Ghent. He combines Libyan Bedouin rhythms and Syrian classical music with a focus on community empowerment. Through projects like Yalla Worldwide, at non-profit Voem, he facilitates authenticity and representation in nightlife.

Laura Conant is a Brussels-based DJ, producer and designer who integrates gender theory, technology and sound. She is co-founder of MONTAGE, a platform for diversity in electronic music, and as radio manager at LYL Brussels she advocates for more inclusive line-ups. She also develops tools to support FLINTA* artists.
