On Sunday, 22 February, Tashattot Collective presents three Brussels-based musicians originally from different countries in the SWANA region.
Tashattot is a Belgian socio-cultural collective (founded in 2022) that brings together artists and cultural workers from the SWANA region (South West Asia and North Africa) who are active in Europe after migration. The collective supports artists through residencies, concerts, workshops, and exhibitions, creating a platform for collaboration, visibility, and dialogue.
In Sonic Sessions Residency II, Tashattot presents three Brussels-based musicians: IM’IN, a Moroccan DJ/producer blending electronic music with SWANA influences; Hala El Moussawi, a singer and sound artist exploring Arabic maqamat and storytelling; and Hussein Rassim, an Iraqi oud player connecting traditional music with contemporary styles.
The residency provides rehearsal space at Pianofabriek and culminates in a joint concert on Sunday, 22 February at AB. Tickets are still available!
