In our new podcast “QUI?!”, our intern/rapper/presenter Daan looks for the true story behind the artist. Over the course of thirty minutes, Daan delves into the lives of musicians you might not have heard of yet. What kinds of obstacles do they face on their way to the top?

In this first episode, Daan speaks with the world-famous (and soon-to-be famous in Belgium) rapper Bryan MG. He talks about how he made it to Ronnie Flex’s studio and what it feels like to score a mega hit in Morocco. 

By Belgian standards, Bryan MG is a true global superstar. People listen to his Dutch-language hip-hop hits from Morocco to Suriname. Nonetheless, Bryan and his music remain relatively unknown in Belgium. As a youngster from Ghent he took the bus to Amsterdam on a weekly basis, aiming to make his dreams come true. There, he befriended artists such as Boef and Ronnie Flex and was the first Dutch-speaking Belgian rapper to really break into the Dutch scene.
