Duyster 10 year anniversary, or as the duo Ayco Duyster/ Eppo Janssen finely phrased it: '10 years full of extreme melancholy and deafening sweetness. Quiet but restless’. The AB organised a celebration 5 years ago too, then with LOW as honourable closer.
This year the bill is even more impressive, even if we do say so ourselves: folk heroes of the moment THE LOW ANTHEM, lo-fi icon LOU BARLOW (Duyster favourite with their previous Sebadoh and Folk Implosion), promising Belgians ISBELLS (their ‘As Long As It Takes’ is already a hit), rising new British talent FANFARLO, and DE PORTABLES - who are more than at home on Duyster - who have just released their new album ‘John Terra’ and have also reworked a number of Duyster classics especially for this concert.
Furthermore, in the month January you can visit the ABrestaurant for an exhibition containing the Duyster team’s 30 favourite album covers. Would you like to marvel at the fine artwork of Iron & Wine, Fleet Foxes, Explosions In The Sky of Band or Horses in genuine vinyl format, then head down to the ABrestaurant.
We’d also like to advise arriving at the AB on time for the concerts on 30 January, as we’ll be starting promptly at 5:00 pm.
