Ancienne Belgique is the vibrant house of music in the heart of Brussels with a passion for young talent and established names. Niche and mainstream. Adventurous and genre-transcending. Through some 400 concerts and projects per year, we provide more than 330,000 visitors with an unforgettable evening.
All this is managed by a motivated team of some sixty employees. To strengthen the programming team, we are looking for an administrative assistant.
Job Description
- You are responsible for the administrative and (pre)production support of the artistic team to ensure that the concert operations run as smoothly as possible.
- You ensure complete paperwork for all parties involved. Both external (agencies, managers and artists) and internal (production & financial team).
- You carefully follow up on and check contracts, riders and costings related to concert operations.
- You arrange overnight accommodation for artists.
- You monitor the artistic (annual) budget closely.
- You support the programming team by helping out on concert nights.
- You follow up the Gelukkig Zijn sessions that take place monthly in community centres.
- You are a part of the broader operations at AB and support other teams within AB if needed.
Profile
- You are familiar with the administrative and financial aspects of programming (costings, withholding taxes on fees for foreign artists, VAT regulations,…) and with the operations of a concert venue.
- Accurate administration gives you the utmost satisfaction. You analyse administrative processes and always look for opportunities to improve them.
- You work in a structured and independent manner to plan, execute and follow-up your tasks.
- You get along well with people; you are communicative and socially adept.
- You collaborate constructively with others – both internally and externally, with other partners and organisations.
- You can handle confidential information; you are diplomatic and discreet in doing so.
- You can express yourself easily in NL/FR/EN
- You are prepared to work evenings and weekends.

- A full-time fixed-term contract (1 year) with prospect of extension.
