Belgian shoegaze that sounds harder than ever
Slow Crush is back – and in no small way! After four years touring, dreaming and sweating away in the studio, they now present their brand new album live at AB. Expect scorching shoegaze with a raw edge: dreamy vocals, gritty guitars, layered soundscapes and even a saxophone here and there.
After their breakthrough with Aurora and the success of Hush, the band quietly worked on a musical rebirth. Producer Lewis Johns (Rolo Tomassi, Svalbard) helped them colour outside the lines: glitchy sounds, snare drums recorded in the kitchen – nothing was too crazy.
The result is an album that balances between emotional intensity and hushed beauty. A journey through exhaustion, reconnection and always being on the move. As singer Isa Holliday says: “We want people to feel embraced by the music.”
