Rumba, Chanson, Poetry, Pop, and everything in between
ConcertEnter the world of Adam La Nuit, where rumba, chanson, poetry and alternative pop come together. This Belgian-Congolese artist makes music about growing up between worlds, languages, families and different versions of yourself.
His universe runs through Kinshasa, Liège and Brussels. Kinshasa is the childhood paradise that still lives on in his music as a vivid memory. Liège represents adolescence, returning to Europe, solitude, rebellion, parties, music and the start of finding his own voice as an artist.
Family, memory, identity, desire and everything we inherit from the people before us all find their way into his music. His songs move between celebration and solitude, softness and intensity, romance and survival, the personal and the political.
He describes his work as a form of magical realism: a space where day and night meet, where the sun rises while the moon and stars are still visible. His stage name reflects this idea: in the night, the stars become visible.
His world is sensual, spiritual and cinematic, with influences ranging from Alexander McQueen and Frank Ocean to Mbilia Bel.
Adam La Nuit brings his latest album Entre Nous/Deux to AB Club. You’re gonna want to be there!
