Youth L’AB is our creative lab for young people aged 18 to 23 who are curious about everything that happens behind the scenes of a concert venue. Far from a typical learning programme, Youth L’AB offers a ten-month journey (from February to November) during which participants get a front-row view of how the music industry works—and help shape the future of music in Brussels.
The 2026 Youth L’AB cohort consists of Amelie (21), Gania (22), Erika (23), Lina (20), Ludvine (22), Jad (20), Stefan (23), Jens (21), Max (24), and Amine (20). Throughout the programme, they dive into the world of event management and gain hands-on experience in promotion, production, ticketing, programming, and much more. Along the way, they meet artists and industry professionals, and collaborate with AB’s various teams.
The programme culminates in a self-organised event that participants present in November as their final project. Since every group brings its own ideas and energy, every outcome is different. Previous editions have resulted in events such as Essence, Collision, Sonart, and Lullaby, collaborations with Brussel Brost and Stoemp, and even a podcast (In The Lab).
Thanks to Youth L’AB, I get opportunities I might not have had otherwise. I learn a lot, meet inspiring people, and discover new sides of the creative sector. For me, it’s a project that opens doors and helps me grow, both personally and professionally.
At the same time, the Youth L’AB team helps AB better understand what matters to young people today and how we can continue to stay relevant for the next generation of music lovers.
