Quatuor MP4 mainly performs works from the 20th and 21st century and presents new work by living composers, with consistent special attention for Belgian composers.

After a 2-day residence in the AB Salon, they will perform the piece ‘M#1 (for electronica and string quartet)’ by and with composer Pierre Slinckx in avant-première.

The work is an attempt to completely integrate electronica into the realm of chamber music. Pierre Slinckx joins the quartet and plays a modified instrument built out of two cheap midi-controllers and a laptop. No rocket science here, just pure craftsmanship.
