Blues-soaked stoner rock
Clutch - formed in 1991 in Germantown, Maryland – established a fanatic fanbase with solid shows and classics like the single Pitchfork and the EP Passive Restraints. The band broke through in 1995 with their self-titled album Clutch. Tracks like Big News, Spacegrass and Escape from the Prison Planet provided them with mainstream fame. During their career, they changed labels, made indie albums, and started their own record label – Weathermaker Music – on which they still release music.
