Feminist revolution while dancing
Emel Mathlouthi is a masterful, committed vocalist who came to prominence during the Arab Spring. Far from stopping there, the Tunisian singer has established herself as an avant-garde artist on the international scene, collaborating with artists such as Valgeir Sigurdsson or Tricky, Barbara Pravi, Bachar Mar-Khalifé or Vitalic. She now stands at the crossroads of experimental and North African influences, between electronic and organic sounds. Her fourth album, ‘MRA ’ – Arabic for “woman”, is a manifesto for female empowerment.
Emel will play at AB on January 21. Want to be there? You can! Answer the following question and who knows, you might be the winner of a concert ticket for two.
