"As the extremely happy winner of the Channel Zero competition "Who is Channel Zero's greatest fan?", I was honoured to attend eight Channel Zero concerts in the AB (yes, you read it right, eight times!).
On the first day I was able to meet the band and had the opportunity to have some things autographed, after which I was able to watch the general rehearsal (with an entire AB hall all for myself). It was almost surreal to be presented with a complete concert while seated in a leather chair on an elevated platform (with a well-filled fridge at my side)." See the video report here.
"The second concert was the show organised especially for the disabled and handicapped, and those accompanying them. No pogo dancing in the front rows, instead there were interpreters for the deaf and they had quite a go too, clearly illustrating the lyrics - and the music – also for the hearing impaired." "Then, after that, there were the six concerts for the general public. By the way, a record of the event will be available soon on DVD, with thanks to Roadrunner Records. For me, the concert on Friday 22/01 was the highlight. The adrenaline boost experienced by both audience and band, to finally meet once again in a full AB after a more than 12 year absence, that was a real kick.
For Channel Zero, this triumphant visit delivered enough inspiration to keep working on new material (the new single "Black Flowers" already offers a foretaste) and all the people who witnessed Channel Zero in the AB will also surely be shouting along loudly at Graspop. I've already got my combi-ticket!" See the video report here
