Boston-based energetic indie-rock trio Vundabar was formed in 2012 by Brandon Hagen (guitar, vocals) and Drew McDonald (drums), after which they also recruited bassist Zack Abramo. Born from the DIY scene and formed in legendary underground venues like Silent Barn and Shea Stadium in Brooklyn, the band has always maintained a strong link to the underground indie scene. Their sound is a unique blend of post-punk, math rock, surf guitar, jangle pop and grunge, which results in fast, compact and sharp tracks that do very well on social media, as well as live! Vundabar will release its sixth album Surgery and Pleasure in March 2025, marking a new milestone in the band’s musical career.
