Art-pop/soul duo presents their newest album
They’re called Thandii, they make music that blends the best of electronics and organic British soul music, and they’ve collaborated with SAULT and Little Simz among many others.
Thandii is a British art-pop/soul duo, consisting of singer Jessica Berry and percussionist Graham Godfrey. By combining elements of soul, lo-fi hip-hop, psychedelica and electronic pop, they create a unique and genre-transcending sound. The debut album, A Beat To Make It Better (2023), received rave reviews due to their innovative approach with hypnotic beats and introspective lyrics.
In 2024, Thandii released two more albums, Dream With You and Come As You, that explored themes like duality and self-expression. On those albums, they mixed lo-fi beats, art-pop melodies and soulful piano parts while Berry's versatile vocals switch between falsetto-harmonies and spoken word. Jonathan Harvey and Steve Pringle (members of the flourishing art scene in Margate) were among those who contributed to these albums.
Thandii’s music is characterised by its experimental nature and emotional depth. And live, they’re solid as a rock!
From Sault to Michael Kiwanuka and Little Simz to their own headline show in Brussels. Let's goooo!
