The beloved collective and club night HE4RTBROKEN is taking over AB to celebrate its 10th anniversary. For this very special occasion, they have curated two stages of this legendary venue for an all nighter with a stacked line up. 
 
Consistently delivering emotion-forward, heart-filling, life-affirming music to their community of kindred, sensitive souls, they have been an essential part of Brussels' nightlife for a decade, championing a progressive and care-oriented approach to the club scene.

Founded in 2015 in Brussels by resident DJs Liyo, Steff, Munix and ssaliva, the collective has hand-crafted parties, ambient concerts, AV shows, and sad-songs-only karaoke sessions over the years, sharing their love for the many forms of cathartic music. Since then, they have expanded their reach to Paris, Berlin, London and Shanghai, as well as online through their monthly show on NTS Radio.
 
The reunion of the decade, for those unafraid to shed a few tears on the dancefloor! 

ARTISTS

SMERZ (Dj set)
Known for the 'carefully shaped, deconstructed pop', Smerz seamlessly weave together techniques and sounds pulled from chamber and classical music, hip hop, R&B, and hard electronics, with the end product always resulting in something altogether uncanny. After a run of releases for London's XL Recordings in 2017, their full length debut ‘Believer’ was released in 2021. The album was followed by a sledge of singles and eps on their own imprint "Shopping Music" in 2024. Blessing us with one of their unique dj sets, they have been hosting for years a monthly NTS shows, where they regularly pull together musical forms with expressionistic ease, defying simplistic categorisation.

Golin (Live)
Golin is the solo moniker of artist, composer, singer, producer, Rin Suemitsu. While her previous releases pushed the boundaries of J-pop, EDM, rave, her last release and debut LP “Sensor” centers her as a composer and producer, expanding her outputs from EDM oriented productions into experimental, ambient and electro-acoustic compositions. One of our end of the year's favourite to discover live on AB's main stage! Her work includes collaborations with Umru, Varg2tm, Buga and ssaliva.

Ssaliva (Live)
François Boulanger is an audiovisual artist from Liège, Belgium. He started producing music in the late 90’s/early 2000 and started producing visual artwork around 2010. In 2011, he started his experimental project "ssaliva". After working for years as Cupp Cave on alternative hip-hop and dance beats, he developed hypnotic soundscapes based on sparse rhythms, lush tones and crystallised textures. A personal and romantic rendition of a life amidst nature and city pollution. Sometimes ghostly, sometimes sacred, an instantly recognisable form of melancholia. Next to collaborating with people like Yung Lean, Palmistry, Bladee, Swan Meat, City, OrganTapes, Noctilucents & SKY H1, ssaliva has found himself playing at Berghain, Macao, DeSchool, ALL Club Shanghai, Ohm and more performing among Grouper, Amnesia Scanner, DJ Stingray and many others. In 2024, he realised the score for Eat The Night, the second full length movie of Jonathan Vinel and Caroline Poggie, presented at the quinzaine des réalisateurs at Cannes Film Festival.

Sky H1
SKY H1’s early works capture the blurring lines between her foundational experiences in drum and bass, grime, dubstep, and techno, all tilted towards the schematic bursts of pop. Her newest LP ‘Azure’, released on AD93 (december 2021), builds on this foundation and generously elaborates a delicate medley of experiences, forms, and functions into an imaginative and quietly ambitious debut album. ‘Azure’ was slowly brought to life over the last years in a live setting. Playing extensively across Europe, and with frequent bouts of touring taking her to the US, Canada, Japan, China, and Russia, SKY H1 has been continuously writing and assembling banks of music to incorporate into club, concert, and gallery settings. More recently, composing for film and video in both cinema and art environments has become a parallel arc of her practice.

Dj Python
DJ Python is the best-known alias of the Queens, NY-based DJ and musician Brian Piñeyro. A pillar of the Brooklyn/Queens based scene via a long-running residency at Nowadays and affiliation with Anthony Naples and Jenny Slattery's Incienso imprint, in recent years, Piñeyro has exploded into record stores, mixes and clubs around the world thanks to his innovative combination of deep house dynamics and latin rhythms. His last album, 2020's Mas Amable, was a downtempo epic garnering album of the year honors from Resident Advisor and Boomkat, and he's been on a tear since, dropping EPs like Club Sentimientos Vol. 2, a well-loved collab with Domino artist Ela Minus, a split with Nick León and records and mixes via his Perreo supergroup with Kelman Duran and Florentino, Sangre Nueva. In 2023, Python teamed up with ambient pop mainstay Ana Roxanne as Natural Wonder Beauty Concept for an album of moody, IDM-influenced pop songs and unusual instrumentals. . He also runs his own label: Worldwide Unlimited.

Why Be
Tobias Lee is a Korean-born, Danish-raised, and Berlin / Copenhagen-based producer and DJ, and the co-founder of experimental label Yegorka. After intentionally spending years on the fringes of experimental dance music, Lee’s critically acclaimed Snipestreet EP — released on Rabit’s Halcyon Veil — saw him firmly establish himself as a formidable emergent voice in dance music's larger conversation. Lee's sound both on record and behind the CDJs defies easy compartmentalisation: if anything, it is defined by its visceral uncategorisability. He's as likely to draw on breaks and R&B as instrumental grime, but it's Lee's radically singular approach to putting it all together that makes him so exciting. His hectic, cathartic, and uncompromising style ultimately stands completely in its own lane. Since his early soundcloud edits and parties organised with the Janus collective, Why Be's approach to djing has been of the main influences of Heartbroken.

Zulu
A well kept secret of the French underground scene, Zulu seems to do his introspection in the middle of the club. His music is a collision of sometimes contradictory aesthetics. The artist born in Cameroon flirts with crossreferences throughout his career. Bass, experimental, trap or trance, his productions strive to be elusive and to deliver a versatile moment where mastery and vulnerability struggle with one another. As one of the finest selectors, Zulu will deliver us a Dj set navigating between Drexciya's afrofuturism and Atlanta's rumbling 808s.

Ariane Kiks B2B K.I.T
Arianekiks is a French, Brussels-based photographer and Dj. Along with performing pop ceremonies together with K.I.T. under the moniker “Atopos”, she hosts the radio shows veil01 (Internet Public Radio) and *xwishes (Lyl Radio). Kiks’ endeavours in music and photography are shaped by and crafted as stories of their own. Audiovisual tales rooted in teenage reveries, hypnotic motion and a clash of classical concerns .
K.I.T (Alexandre Teiller) is a Brussels-based DJ/producer and the co-founder of City Links Recordings. Growing up playing drums in rock bands, he later shifted his focus to electronic music production and formed Planet 1999 with Caro and Charles. After releasing two projects on PC Music, K.I.T. has now released his solo project, a 3-track club EP, on City Links Recordings. Alexandre Teiller has also composed music for two films directed by Tohé Commaret, both of which were presented at the Berlinale. The partners in crime will open the night, curing broken hearts with a tailor made dj set.
