Primal scream. Energy bomb. Theatrical uproar. Captivating dance concert that goes off. Booster shot.
“Knock Knock. Who’s There? It’s Your Grief From The Past.” - Excerpt from One Song
After a tour of more than a hundred shows all over the wold, AB and Kaaitheater are delighted to welcome the dernière of this undisputed blockbuster. One Song - Histoire(s) du Théâtre IV is set in the unique universe of visual artist and theatre-maker Miet Warlop. A group of performers, including AB-regular Elisabeth Klinck, enter the arena for an mesmerizing ritual about parting, life and death, hope and rebirth.
Together, the performers go to extremes: with sung text, images and objects, oxygen and sweat, they stir up our human condition. Time and again, someone stands up to push the boundaries. The performers defy time and give expression to a deeply human need: the moment when we are able to transcend our thinking bodies.
