Small Sandwiches and Free Dutch-Language Concerts in an Intimate Setting
This season, you’re welcome at AB (Steenstraat) every last Thursday afternoon of the month for an intimate musical lunch break. We’ll be serving up great Dutch-language songs from our own scene, performed by artists you’ll see on the big stages tomorrow. And your favorite artist’s favorite sandwich is also on the menu.
Following Floris Francis Arthur (Band) on the Grand Place for the Flemish holiday and a strong indoor kickoff in September with FULCO, we have three more wonderful afternoon concerts in store for this fall.
De Kleine Boterhammen presents Frans Kalf
Words haven’t yet disappeared from the world, but they’re almost all used up. How do you still find the words to say what really matters? Meet the cynically cheerful bon vivant Frans Kalf (22). Half Amsterdammer, half Ghent native.
De Kleine Boterhammen present Camilo Donoso
A fresh face, an age-old concept. Camilo Donoso, blessed with Chilean roots, delves deep into his soul and brings out what we all feel. Highly personal, and therefore universal. His debut album, Music voor de Jeugd, was released in 2025 and is brimming with “heartfelt pop.”
De Kleine Boterhammen presents Michiel Libberecht (Mooneye)
After eight years of focusing entirely on his Mooneye project and performing in just about every corner of the country—including the AB, several times over—it was time for something new. Michiel Libberecht is releasing music under his own name for the first time, and in his native language: West Flemish.
In 2026, our summer festival Boterhammen In Het Park will be conspicuously absent, only to return stronger than ever in the summer of 2027.
