Over the last 35 years, he didn’t miss a single note of Northern Soul, Funk or Britpop played in AB. With a case full of carefully selected and well organised 45’s under the arm, our cheery DJ Thierry SteadyGo always came to stuff your ears full of some funky dyn-o-mite. Bearing his cheeky grin and the music that moved him, and also made his listeners move, in the head and on the dancefloor.

Whether it was as support-act to Paul Weller, Amy Winehouse, Sharon Jones, Charles Bradley, Naomi Shelton or Beady Eye, this Modfather from Brussels managed to strike your funky note every time, with a pile of vintage singles and his infectious, unconditional love for music. Always in search of those hidden gems, that he would then love sharing with us. If crate-digging were an Olympic discipline, he would be running for gold.

Aside from being a genuine music-lover, we will also always remember Thierry as a warm man and full-time great guy.

A great Soul has left the building… too soon.
