23-year-old singer Emma Hessels commutes between Antwerp and Brussels. In 2023, armed with nothing but her voice and a guitar, she won Sound Track, the prestigious music competition for up-and-coming talent.  

From the comfort of her bedroom, she creates little songs that explore big, universal feelings like love and loneliness. Her music represents a search for identity and recognition. This is reflected in her sound; it’s hard to nail down the genre, but her soulful voice is the one – magnificent – constant.  

Emma found the time to switch to a different floor in AB (she’s also our beloved colleague) in order to record a spectacular AB Session of 'Insular'.

On Sunday 21 April, she will open for the poetic singer-songwriter Porcelain id. It’ll be an unforgettable night. There are still a few tickets available. We’ll see you there.
