The Belgian pop sensation is back, better than ever

Emma Bale suddenly appeared in the upper echelons of Belgian pop music at a young age, with hits like 'Run', 'Curaçao', 'Worth It' and 'Cut Loose'. In 2017, she became the youngest MIA winner ever and took home the award for 'Best Solo Female'. She performed in the Dance Hall at Pukkelpop that same year and also appeared in a sold out AB Club. A year later, in the summer, she played her first show at Rock Werchter. At barely 20 years of age, she has now appeared on various European stages and her songs have already been streamed more than 50 million times.
She proves to be back and better than ever, with her new single 'Joan'. The song refers to the iconic and heroic French freedom-fighter Jeanne d'Arc who literally gave it her all to reach her goal. Emma has always felt very drawn to her story. The song 'Joan' is about a young woman who wants to use her willpower to convince someone to join forces and go all out. No matter how heavy the burden may be: 'Why don’t you share the load, yeah. My heart is strong enough'. Just like her illustrious inspirer, she is prepared to go to any lengths to reach that goal.
