Spiritual gem uit Zuid-Londen brengt album met smooth r&b naar Brussel.

Joy Crookes is een Brits-Bengaalse zangeres en songwriter uit Zuid-Londen, bekend om haar warme soulstem en teksten die persoonlijke en maatschappelijke thema’s aansnijden. Ze werd vooral bekend door nummers als “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now” en “When You Were Mine”, waarmee ze doorbrak bij het grote publiek en genomineerd werd voor een BRIT Award.

Ze bracht in september 2025 haar tweede album Juniper uit. Op dit album verkent ze thema’s als liefde, identiteit en mentale gezondheid, met een intiemere en meer experimentele sound waarin soul, R&B en jazz samenkomen.
