DESCRIPTION:In this workshop\, we’ll explore how to use your voice\nsafely and powerfully — even when that means being loud\,\nraw or intense. Are you curious to discover what your voice\nis capable of?In this extreme vocal workshop\, we’ll work\non breathing\, posture and playful exercises to learn how to\nproject your voice without straining it. We’ll work from a\nplace of relaxation and body awareness\, so that power can\narise naturally.This session is led by Lina\, vocalist with\nPredatory Void.You don’t need any singing experience —\njust a desire to explore what your voice is capable\nof! This workshop is organised by go BOOM\, a DIY(T)\nfeminist collective\, and is aimed in particular at people\nwho often face structural barriers in the music industry.\nThink of people on lower incomes\, FLINTA* individuals\, and\nso on. We therefore ask that you leave space for\nparticipants who normally have less access to this kind of\nworkshop. *FLINTA* stands for Female\, Lesbian\, Intersex\,\nNon-Binary\, Trans\, or any other identities that are\nstructurally oppressed by cis-patriarchal society *DIY(T)\nstands for Do It Yourself (Together) because together we can\nachieve so much more.
